So I shifted back to windows after quite a while of using MacOS and was searching for an IINA replacement. After trying for hours and hours and finding nothing modern, I came across this app and OH MY GOD is it amazing. The animations are crisp and the interface is simple. Now this is not a bug report post or even a feature request, (Although it would be the PERFECT app if Video adjustments like Gamma and Contrast are added but no bigge really) this is a simple appreciation post for someone finally coming with a VLC replacement for the first time after 2006 and making it free !
As a token of my appreciation, I do graphics and logo design as an hobby and if you need any help with your logo redesign ( I have some nice ideas for the name "VideoTape") please feel free to message me. And no I am not asking for any money, just trying to keep the cycle going and help someone out who made this amazing app AND kept it free.
Seriously, devs go unnoticed at times, but thank you for making this app!
Thanks a lot for you message, I really appreciate it. It's good to know someone who likes the app :)
As you might know I'm heavily working in the big V3 update... trying to keep the UI simple, fast and fluid as I add new features.
If you don't have access to the beta just let me know and I'll add you to the program for the desktop version. The xbox one is open to everybody due to a store limitation although it's very unstable/beta... hopefully during this weekend I'll publish a more polished version
About the logo, it's indeed one part where I need to invest some time... If you want to give it a try, it would be awesome. The primary color I use thought the app is: #FF1F44
PS: I usually also post info about new build in reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/videotapeplayer
Please feel free to add me to the beta, my Microsoft store email ID is - "email@example.com"
Also, Ill surely give a shot at a logo
Also, I had an interesting question, have you ever heard of stremio? If not look them out, they are awesome. That being said, they have an option to play there videos with third party apps, is there any way Videotape can be added to that list? (They do allow adding any Win32 exe videoplayer but I wasnt able to find a method to add a Windows Store apps)
Thanks in advance
